80's mania

I found a list that I wrtote one day when I was waiting to pick up kids. It is a list of bands from the 80's that I like. Here it is:

Thompson Twins

INXS

Pet Shop Boys*

B52's

REM *

Duran Duran*

Howard Jones*

Paul Young*

Wet Wet Wet

Leslie Chueng*+

Tat Ming Pair*+

*Bands I have seen perform

+Hong Kong bands, you may not recognize them! Actually, INXS fits in that category, too.

Now I know you have opinions and want to comment. It's okay, wanting to comment is a reflex. A reflex ex ex ex ex ex....

Duran Duran, ah those days...I use to make my mom stop what she was doing to listen to my Duran Duran Albums and tapes. She could care less and I wanted her to "feel" the music and "get" how wonderful they were. Can you imagine my mom having to stop and listen to "Hungry Like the Wolf"....lol!

I was INXS # fan!!! Saw them in Nashville with the Crawford girls (Jenny and Mary Beth). Know word for word on almost every album they ever made.

I love the rest except I don't know or remember
Paul Young*
Wet Wet Wet
Leslie Chueng*+
Tat Ming Pair*+

THANKS for the memories!!!

I love the 80's!!! I just saw 3 80's bands last night! :) I went to see Def Leppard, Styx, and REO Speedwagon. They were great!! I had seen them all before, but this was the best!!

Ah yes, the memories are flooding back. I have the dubious distinction of having seen Paul Young twice - because my mother had a crush on him. :)

I also have vivid memories of the INXS concert I saw when I was in 10th grade. The girl behind me got sick and puked. It was like a waterfall of puke, cascading down underneath my seat. I spent the rest of the concert on top of my seat. (I think she had vodka and raw red meat for dinner.)

Who else did I see in the 80s?
Julian Lennon (my first concert)
Sugar Cubes, Public Image Ltd. and New Order (all one concert)
Corey Hart
The Cure
Duran Duran
Sinead O'Connor and World Party (that might have been in 1990)
U2 - the Joshua Tree tour at Cleveland Stadium (I also saw U2 twice in Chicago in 2001.)
