1. Ella went to the eye doctor yesterday and she confirmed what we already knew. Ella couldn't read the writing on the wall, so to speak. She is know sporting a snazzy pair of contacts. We ordered a pair of glasses (blue, of coarse ) they will be in at the end of the week.
2. We have a poltergeist in the house. Last night we had lights go out and the kitchen sink clog up. At the same time. We ran a snake through the sink all the way to the big clean out in the basement. It seemed clear, but no water was coming through, just eh snake. SO Adrian tied a washcloth to the end of the snake and pulled it back up through to the kitchen. It slid through no problem. Okay, must be cleared, whatever it was. NOPE. Still the water backed up when we turned it on. Then magically it just ran out and everything is fine know. Can anyone explain this?
3. Molly won second place in a coloring contest sponsored by the newspaper.
4. I am about finished with book 2 in the His Dark Materials Trilogy. It has been MUCH more interesting than Book 1. It is also a bit more creepy. I will give you my full opinion once I finish Book 3.
5. I have no idea what to make for dinner and my food budget has run dry until the 15th.
Dinner. is. my. worst. nightmare. UGH.

To quote my hubby from yesterday, "I can't wait to have a house that doesn't fall apart."
Good luck figuring out plumbing and electrical AT THE SAME TIME! he he
(yeah, our light seriously just flashed when I typed that...kind of freaky! - They're alive)
good for you sticking with the food budget...a good go to when you are out and hungry....RICE!
that is crazy. Our ice machine did that wouldn't work...then it worked the next week. We tried to fix it but marked it down as broke...oh well.
Did E. Get glasses?
I guess it's beans and rice for dinner until Tuesday at your house!!!
I saw Molly's picture in the Mini-Standard!!! Congrats Molly!
She is so beautiful.

The whole dinner thing sounds like me but I hate cooking. Joey was short two days on his last paycheck due to Nissan shutting down for a bit and those 2 days hurt.
We do Dave Ramsey and we do have our "emergency fund" and we don't want to dip into it when we have tons of odd end foods in storage but trying to think of what to mix with what has been a nightmare.
I will say we have made it out okay. No one has gotten sick off my cooking...yet!
My the 16th bring better luck to us both!

ACK! I am so with you on the food budget thing. I don't know how to break it to the fam that tomorrow night is LITERALLY rice, and the keilbasa that kroger had buy one get one...they are going to act like I am killing them. The worse news is that Tuesday is Tuna casserole. Oh, those tight months...
