Tonight before I came to bed I ate a pear. It was juicy and tasty. I was very happy. It didn't stop me from wanting an entire pan of Gooey Butter Cake Bars, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
When I finished the pear I started to throw it away. I had eaten it to the center. Not through the center. My husband and I started to have a conversation about pears. He says you should eat a pear like a banana. All the way through. I leave the very center. It has a hard line through it. Of course neither of us eats the very ends (the stem end and the booty end).
Okay, I want everyone to tell me how you eat a pear.

Well I don't eat the center. I eat it like I would an apple.
Logan, however, eats it ALL. Of course, what else would you expect from him!
I take the fuzzy end off the bottom, and eat it from there to the stem, seed centre and all. I don't leave anything, it is good ruffage. I just bought a bunch of different types today when grocery shopping.
Thanks for visiting my non fun Monday today.
I use an apple slicer, which cores the middle. and then I eat it slice by slice. (:
I suppose I eat a pear like an apple. If it is ripe to perfection, I may delve closer to the core. My most favorite way to eat a pear is poached!
I also eat my pears like apples and leave the center. But I might have to use Pamela's idea and use my apple wedger.
I leave the center too - there are seeds in there. p.s. come on over to my blog... I have a surprise for you.
I eat my pear like you eat yours :)
I only leave the stem end and the booty end (I like that term). I eat the middle.
I eat it just like you...and I love pears!!
With something so important you have to ask yourself- What would Jesus Do?
I don't know cuz I don't eat pears. Remember I am the picky one!
Ben, I believe that Jesus is very smart and would agree with his wife!
I guess it depends on how hungry I am, as to whether or not I will adventure into the middle iffy area.
I normally leave the core, my girls don't normally though (they love there pears to much to leave anything behind)
