Fun Monday

The Lurchers are hosting Fun Monday this week. They apparently want to see some more of my unfinished projects since they asked to see my nightstand. This is actually my husbands nightstand. I don't have one on my side of the bed. All I have is my CPAP machine sitting on the floor.

This was bought by my mother before I was born. It was a castoff that I stole when I moved out to get married. We have the mate to it in Harrison's room. This one has been stripped (by my mother). I plan to paint it one day. I should say maybe I will get it painted in the next 50 years!

I will give you a list of the items you are seeing:

1. lamp

2.medicated powder

3. alarm clock

4. Harrison's DVD of an edited version of Braveheart bought from Cleanfilms

5. part of a chain, like the kind you would use to pull a car

6. a coaster

On the floor:

1. January copy of The Family Handyman

2. hand weights

3. 20 Questions electronic game

4. hand lotion

5. Book- Property Management for Dummies

My husband was pretty mortified when I put this picture on. Now you know our dirt. Oh, there is a cassette tape sticking out of the drawer. Jethro Tull. Definitely my husbands. I think the lead singer of Jethro Tull is a creepy woman hater!
Now you can head over to Angela's site and visit the rest of the nightstands!

I have sleep apnea. I wear a mask that forces air down my throat to keep my airway open at night so I can wake feeling rested. I used to be exhausted ALL THE TIME!

You have all sorts of things on or near your nightstand. You must be ready for any and everything.

Don't fret. It looks very normal and who doesn't have a piece of chain? ;)

I'm seeing several female bloggers who don't have their own bedside tables... but who instead show us their hubbies'

Funny post.

Ha! I will tell Swampy where her "20 questions" game is. She was blaming me! Oh and yes, nice night stand. And the edited version of Braveheart - when you say clean, does that mean, no violence? Which means, it was a very short movie then. Maybe you might consider Gladiator too. Oh, I also just read a review of the new Rambo. I don't think they can make a non-violent one - doubt I see it. Sly is 61 and has some very serious issues...

Anyway, enough babble. Come on over to our site. You won the name calling contest. If you are comfortable with providing your address we will send you the wonderful prize - Go to Kim's website on the right panel and "contact her" through email. I imagine I will be the one gong to the post office, but she will make sure I do it. ... Thanks. NLM

Another pretty table that would look elegant anywhere in the house.

I am just laughing about the Jethro Tull tape! And the chain. Because you never know who might call you in the middle of the night, stuck somewhere, needing a tow. Gotta keep the chain handy!

What's the chain for, exactly? Wouldn't it be more useful in the car?

I love a woman who can admit to never finishing her project!
